In this short video, I demonstrate how I would start a conversation with a girl in an elevator without spitting out awkward pick up lines and making the situation more uncomfortable than it already is. To talk to girls in an elevator or any other awkward situation or place you just need to act human and start by asking something that doesn't sound predatory. If you're living in the same building, bring up something about the building or complain about how slow the elevator is. Whatever. If you get in the same elevator, ask about her floor so you can push the button. Then snowball the conversation and ask her if she's going out, what places she recommends in the area and so on. Just don't try to impress her with a cheesy pick up line becuase you might even lose a girl that would definitely be interested in going out with you.
